Sagamore Spirit Brewer’s Select Rye Ale Barrel Finish is the first release in Sagamore’s ‘Brewer Select’ series. The expression uses a blend of six- and four-year-old straight rye whiskies from casks that aged Sagamore Spirit rye and Sierra Nevada’s red ale.
Sagamore Spirit Brewer’s Select Rye Ale Finish Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich cocoa, dulce de leche, roasted malt finished with round and rich cherry and citrus.
Palate: Creamy caramel, candied oranges, toasted oak, with cocoa and hazelnut to finish.
Finish: The finish is nicely structured with malt flavors and rye spice giving way to a lingering, pleasant oak spice.
