The Exceptional Cask series demonstrates how Macleod patiently lays the foundations of the entire single malts range, by meticulously nosing and assessing every sample within John Dewar’s & Sons extensive cask inventory to monitor maturation and flavor development. A Whisky known as the ‘Golden Dram’ – the Aberfeldy distillery’s water source is the famous Pitilie Burn – a river renowned for its water quality and famed for its rich deposits of gold.
