Azunia Organic Anejo Tequila is smooth, clean craft quality tequila with authentic flavor from the local terroir in every sip.It is the exclusive export of Agaveros Unidos de Amatitán and its second- generation, family-owned-and-operated Rancho Miravalle estate. Rancho Miravalle has created exceptional tequila for over 20 years. Made with 100% pure Weber Blue Agave grown in dedicated fields of the Jalisco valleys, we harvest by hand. Then we roast the organic agave in traditional clay hornos to ensure authenticity and depth of flavor.
Azunia Organic Anejo Tequila Tasting Notes
Nose: Sweet cooked agave and whiskey/oak notes, spice, honey, butter, caramel, light vanilla, dried fruit, cinnamon, a touch of mint, nutmeg, smoke and cherry.
Palate: The palate is medium oils, rich and layered, caramel, light smoke, sweet cooked agave, spice, honey, butter, dried fruit, some light vanilla and butterscotch. Very little burn, and smooth to sip.
Finish: This is sweet agave and whiskey notes, caramel, spice, and light heat on the backend, with more vanilla towards the finish.
Distillery Information
Located in the area surrounding the city of Tequila, 65 km northwest of Guadalajara, and in the Jaliscan Highlands of the central western Mexican state of Jalisco. Aside from differences in region of origin, tequila is a type of mezcal.The distinction is that tequila must use only blue agave plants rather than any type of agave.Tequila is commonly served neat in Mexico and as a shot with salt and lime across the rest of the world.
