Bosscal Joven Mezcal is 100% Artisanal & Handcrafted. Slow cooked with volcanic rock in artisanal earth ovens. Agave is ground by hand with axes and fermented in oak wood vats. Double distilled in stainless steel stills. Mezcal is something Mexico still crafts with absolute passion and is generally produced in much smaller quantities. Since true artisanal Mezcal is hand crafted as described and unlike other industrialized spirits which place emphasis predominantly on high yields compromising quality by utilizing means and methods which have no soul or spirit; stripping away the very essence of what defines Mexico.
Bosscal Joven Mezcal Tasting Notes
Nose: Very unique nose, a bit herbal, with flowers and minerals quickly becoming all tropical fruit.
Palate: Tart and sweet at the same time – like passion fruit. Passion fruit with light banana influence and some subtle kiwi for good measure. Light smoke; very crisp taste. Smooth with citrus, blood orange flavours. The tartness of the nose carries to the palate creating great balance.
Finish: Smooth, subtle, and soothing.
Distillery Information
The Bosscal experience adheres to tradition and adventure. Mezcal is hand selected and produced by 4th generation Mezcalero in collaboration with the entire Bosscal team. Together They ride on horseback along the mountainside in search of the most premium durangensis agave to create a true Mountain to Market spirit. Following the traditional and artisanal production methods, No use of chemical products or alterations that may affect the true essence and flavor of a premium mezcal.
