Barrel aged in smaller batches for eighteen months in American white-oak barrels, Don Julio® Añejo Tequila is a testament to the craft of making a superior tasting, aged tequila. Rich, distinctive and wonderfully complex, its flavor strikes the perfect balance between agave, wood and hints of vanilla.
Don Julio Anejo Tequila Tasting Notes
Nose: Nose is Crisp with traditional hints of Añejo.
Palate: Palate is Smooth in character with highlights of vanilla, honey and toasted oak.
Finish: Lingering hints of oak followed by a clean, warm finish.
Distillery Information
Don Julio was founded in 1942, by Don Julio González-Frausto Estrada, who began distilling tequila at age 17. Don Julio tequilas are handcrafted in the Highlands of Jalisco, where the microclimate and mineral-rich clay soil allow the blue agave plant to flourish.
