Detailed Description
The armadillo is the ancient Mexican symbol of protection, and its legend is said to coincide with the earliest instances of agave spirits. This añejo is made from 100% blue weber agave harvested at a minimum of 8 years, stewed in autoclaves and double-distilled. It is aged 36 months in 200-liter American oak barrels and bottled in an ornate brown glass decanter with braided rope detail at the neck.

Nose: The nose is chock-a-block full of flavor with notes of molten toffee, roasted agave, mango, oak spice, cola, and butterscotch.
Palate: The palate entry is delicate, with just a hint of sweetness. Warming spices like nutmeg and clove come through along with roasted agave and toasted fruits, with a delicate kick of vanilla.
Finish: The finish is long and fades out with generous sprinkle of pepper on the end.
Distillery located in the village of Mazamitla, in southern Jalisco, at an altitude of 7,220 feet above sea level. Agave is grown in the small town of Amatitan, located in the heart of Jalisco, where the blue agave has grown for centuries. This agave is special because of the volcanic soil in the region; resulting in abundant flora that gives the agave its unique herbaceous scent and flavor.
