Description

Detailed DescriptionJohn L. Sullivan Irish whiskey is a small batch blend of single grain and single malt whiskeys, aged 4 to 10 years in Single Use Bourbon Barrels. It consists of only the finest, individually selected barrels, pulled for their unique character detected during the aging process. John L. Sullivan is smooth, yet at the same time rich, complex & balanced. It is layered with hints of oak, vanilla, spice, citrus, malt, and honey. The finish is long and has a silky bourbon character from the barrels.John L. Sullivan Irish Whiskey Tasting Notes.Nose: With the scent of a fresh Granny Smith apple, warmed by a thin layer of soft caramel.Palate: The front of the palette catches the buttery caramel flavor.Finish: The finish is long and has a silky bourbon.Distillery InformationCooley Distillery is an Irish whiskey distillery, located on the Cooley Peninsula in County Louth, Ireland, converted in 1987 from an older potato alcohol plant by John Teeling. On 16 December 2011 Beam Inc. announced plans to purchase Cooley for around US$95 million (€71 million). The sale closed on 17 January 2012. Beam was then purchased by Suntory Holdings on 30 April 2014, and became its Beam Suntory subsidiary.
